Pleasant Township Gateway Signs
This project began in November 2010 and concluded in April 2011.
Residents and public officials in Pleasant Township developed a preferred design for community gateway signs. Franklin County and the Neighborhood Design Center facilitated this process.
Gateway signs give neighborhoods a common visual identity, which builds pride and ownership. The Pleasant Township Comprehensive Plan recommends installation of these gateway signs.
This gateway sign design project was composed of three phases:
1. Information gathering and input
2. Evaluation of design alternatives
3. Presentation of consensus design
This project was for the sign design ONLY. It does not include funding for constructing or installing the signs. Now that the designs are complete, Pleasant Township may proceed with funding the construction and installation if the community and public officials so desire.
We held three public meetings during the design process to reach consensus on preferred sign designs.
The document below shows the community's preferred gateway sign design.
