Community gardens promote healthy, active lifestyles, and create new, productive re-uses of underutilized land. Community gardens also beautify our community while simultaneously providing access to fresh, local, nutritious foods. Community gardening also provides opportunities for intergenerational and cross-cultural connections. It is an opportunity to bring people together, in a unique setting, where they can share their expertise with one another. Gardening also offers a great opportunity to teach our children about food and agriculture.
